Scarlet Ridge Handtooled Bag - Tan Full-Grain Leather

The scarlet flower motif carved into this bag sits differently on tan leather than it does on black. Warmer. More intimate. The contrast is still present but it breathes, the scarlet rising out of the honey-toned leather like something that grew there rather than was placed. That is what hand-tooling does on a warm base. It earns its place gradually, and the longer you look, the more detail you find.

Each panel was carved separately by hand. No embossing, no shortcuts, no machine replication. The artisan who made this piece worked through the flower motif one section at a time, pressing the design into 100% full-grain leather until the tooling became part of the structure itself.
